Former HDFC Bank CEO Aditya Puri is joining global pharmaceutical company Strides Group as an advisor and will also be director of its associated biopharmaceutical company Stelis Biopharma, a company statement confirmed today.

Headquartered in Bangalore, Strides Group’s global manufacturing sites are located in India, Singapore, Italy, Kenya and the United States. It focuses on hard-to-make products that are sold in over 100 countries.

A mainstay of the Indian banking and financial services industry, Puri was the Founder-MD and CEO of HDFC Bank since the bank’s inception in 1994 and continued the position until his retirement in October 2020. Previously, he was CEO of Citibank Malaysia with nearly two decades of global banking experience in all markets.
