Pharmaceutical company launches online courses for healthcare professionals

CARACHI: Getz Pharma recently announced the introduction of the first three courses on its brand new online medical learning platform, MEDACE, in collaboration with the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).

Dr. Jahanzeb K. Khan, Director of Medical Affairs, PV and Clinical Research, Getz Pharma, Professor Dr. Shahid Shamim, Additional Director, Dow Institute of Health Professional Education; Teacher. Dr Yousuf Kamal Mirza, Consultant Physician, Aga Khan University Hospital, Tabba Heart Institute & Medi-link Clinics; Professor Bader Faiyaz Zuberi, Dean of Medicine and Allied Sciences, DUHS, spoke at the launch ceremony.

They said the service would enable the medical fraternity across Pakistan to access new and improved treatments, medical innovations and disease information.

Dr. Jahanzeb Kamal said MEDACE will connect young doctors with experienced doctors to share their knowledge to improve practice through CME courses, lectures, webinars, videos, articles and blogs.

This program aims to help healthcare workers learn and adapt to different treatment techniques for their patients. It would also help identify patient risk factors and symptoms to improve treatment outcomes and patient care, as well as provide healthcare professionals with a platform on which to design courses for new doctors to enhance their knowledge and experience with local specialists.
